Free Acupuncture Charts
There are so many categories and types of acupuncture body charts available for both students and doctors that finding the right one for your purposes should be relatively easy. For example, there are five element, treatment of headaches, Chinese hand, meridian, and microsystems of the face and head acupuncture charts available.
Compact chart designs are great for keeping in notebooks while wall charts are a good fit for clinical offices. Larger sized charts tend to be laminated and many charts feature high quality artwork. Both black and white, as well as full color charts are offered, and there are several free acupuncture charts available for downloading.
Good Sources for Free Acupuncture Charts
If you are a student, or new to the world of alternative medicine and interested in learning more about it, free acupuncture charts are likely a good option for you. Keep in mind, however, that free acupuncture charts tend to be in black and white, and not as elaborate as ones that can be purchased.

AcupunctureProducts.com is a great resource for acupuncture information, including articles, a list of national organizations, and an abundance of books and charts, some of which are free.
Using the product directory, you can easily find and download the free acupuncture charts available. Included is a "Five Element" chart, illustrating the five element theory, which is the cornerstone of acupuncture and meridian therapy. There is also a "Cardinal Points of Acupuncture" chart, which maps out 41 cardinal points and lists the specific conditions, functions and areas of the body associated with each point.
Finally there is an excellent "acupuncture point locations" document available in Portable Document Format (PDF) that provides detailed anatomical acupuncture point locations via various anatomy diagrams, and includes cardinal points, command points and the five element correspondences.
The Qi Journal produced by Insight Publishing in Temecula, California also has an associated website designed to promote traditional Chinese culture and medicine throughout the world.
On this website (qi-journal.com) you will find an interactive acupuncture model, which allows you to click on acupuncture points anywhere on the body and will display the associated Pinyin name, location and indications.
There is also a searchable listing of meridians and acupuncture points, which allows you to select various acupuncture meridians and see a list of the associated acupuncture points.
You can also search this listing for specific points if you know the locator ID or the Pinyin name, or you can search by specific indications or ailments. While you will not be able to get a free hardcopy acupuncture chart, this interactive tool can be a very beneficial resource.
